have searched various threads but cant seem to find how to locate engine & chassis numbers- would like to check age of my z32 import-

Have a look on the inside of one of the rear light inner covers, it should tell you there.

thanks for that leigh- I also need engine number as have read that early ones can have certain probs!!

The engine numner is stamped on the rear of the block at 12 o clock where the gearbox mates up to it.

If you send me a photo of the VIN plate I can usually identify the month the car was manufactured.

Chassis number would be better, its stamped on the VIN plate.

if you put the chassis number in here it will tell you the age of the car (if its an import from Japan!!)

it would be 4 since 1st registered in the UK.

only good if you have a VIN. If not, as like mine you can read the chasis number.

 

"G" in the chassis number indicates 2+2 variant; no "G" is the 2 seater SWB version. "C" indicates the twin turbo. "H" as you have already seen is the convertible. Thus there are Z32, GZ32, CZ32 and GCZ32 models as well as HZ32 in the Japanese domestic market.
