Hey everyone, if you had a choice between getting the job that you have always wanted and good money, amazing company etc but it would also mean that you would have to move away from family, see all your close friends less and have to start agian, maybe if i have to live in the center of london it would mean maybe having to lose my zed .

If you were in my boots what would you do?

Thanks, Murt

Hey i like bristol, i live here currently and its a nice place, i was down bournmouth other day and there is nothing to do there! Extremely boring lol

There is more to do on the South Coast than there EVER will be in Bristol. I like living in Bristol...well, near, I wouldn't want to live right in Bristol, Portishead Marina fine for me, but I really miss the South Coast. I went to Uni in Southampton and have also lived in Southsea. I wouldn't hesitate at living at Bournemouth/Poole. Very nice part of the UK. You're minutes away from the New Forest and it's very easy to get a ferry across to France.

do it fella, even if it isnt what you want it could be a stepping stone to what you want and where, having said that i hated the year and a half i spent in london but thats mainly cause i was in a hotel 5 days a week

is this a job youve been offered or one you;ve seen you can apply for?

The reason I ask is that id just get it applied for, then have a serious think about the logistics if you get it, or at least get to interview stage..

I wouldnt try and make all the plans in the world (and in a way prepare your self to leave!) if you dont actually get it. In many ways the disapointment after the hype will be as bad as the move would be!

Get your CV in, see what happens, then deal with it as you get to the crunch point.#

Good luck!

Nope was bournemouth as my friend goes to uni down there, i was at his rented house. It blew!

Go for it!!

Life aint a rehersal.

You can try and it can fail and you can go back to the way you were but to not try is far worse.

There is nothing more annoying than a wasted opportunity and thinking "what if" It will bug you for the rest of your life, trying to piece together what could have been.

go for it mate, i was in the same position when i was 18 years old, had the chance to move from sheffield where i lived with my family to liverpool (bout 100 miles away) where i knew nobody. anyway i did it, rented a room in a house wi a load of scousers and had the time of my life, came home to see the family every couple of months too to sort the home sickness. rent in a shared house, it really helps when you have people around with you, while i was down there i also got my own place in a flat in the city centre on my own, very boring is all i can say, a place of you own sounds a good idea but in reality is very boring and if its a new town where you dont know many people very well, is also very lonely, a shared house is cheaper and also you instantly have some mate to go out with, show u the ropes and introduce you to people when your out with them,

good luck pal

if it was me i would go my lovelife is a fvck up and i would be glad to get away to start again thats just me though:confused:

I turned down a big promotion, but I have an excuse, it was in Leeds and I would have had to uproot the whole family. I i didnt have the Kids n' wife i would have gone like a shot.

Nope I would not do it, I turned a £70k job last year where I would have had to relocate, I did not want to do it to the kids(I know how I would have felt at there age)

plus I like going out with all the mates on a regular basis.

70k is almost double what I earn now by the way

Mind you it was in Newcastle:eek::p
