Just tested a different MAF/AFM.. Started fine, let it warm up, revved fine.. Thought I would put some boost through it, the BOV'S blow of twice.. Then the engine just dies, engine warning light came on.. Now won't re-start..

Tried the original AFM back in.. Still won't start

When fitting a different AFM, does the battery need to be disconnected to reset the ECU?

Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks :(

I did clean the connections up with contact cleaner on the CAS plug today, without success, but will inspect it further tomorrow, just incase.

What sort of money is a temp sensor Brian?

Oh, cool, not big money then.. Phew!!

Does the cooling system have to be bled through, or drained to replace it, do you know?

Nope, simply remove and replace.

I go off to watch the movie and come back and we're all systems go, well done ;)

Cas second hand is around 30 quid, though you can test it quite easily and the sensor fron nissan is about 28 quid.

Either of these if faulty will stop the car from starting.
