I have two dump valves fitted to my zed (i know theyre not to everyones taste), when i first fitted them they were really loud, then they started to quieten down a bit only being loud when the weather was dry but cold. And now, since i have had a decat exhaust fitted they carnt be heard at all....

whats causing this?

Are the valves crap? Or can i make them noisey again by doing something else to the car?

Cheers guys

What make are they ?.

They should be adjustable and you may have a ceased spring in them.

They look like TurboSmart copies. How long you had them?

Is your car idling ok and boosting ok?

i've got some very similar, they get dirt inside them and stick, you need to take them off and clean them up.

Once cleaned would something like wd40 help to repell the dirt and rain water to prevent them sticking in the future? Or is spraying them with oil a bad idea?

i used a bit od wd40 on mine and they've been fine

they have gone quiet because I asked the man upstairs to shut the bloody awfull things up
