hi guys/gals,

Need a bit of advice on this one. Ive got an Auto, H reg, N/A 300zx.

When im stopped at a junction, lights, roundabout etc. I put my foot down and the car seems like its stalling then picks up again.

It has now also stalled a couple of time and i have to put it in park then turn the ignition again, this only happens every now and then but always at the worst times!

My exhaust is blowing and ive found that there are small holes before both of the cats, not too sure if this has anything to do with this problem?

I also have my MOT coming up and know that my car ISN'T going to pass with the exhaust like it is, does anyone know where i can get an aftermarket exhaust system that will solve this??

Please can anyone help!

yes it should just come out. spray carb cleaner in it and a gentle tap from your hand should start to move it.

Your stopping problem sounds like your gearbox is knacked. I'm sure someone on here can tell you why, but it's happened on my last two gearboxes, a few months before gears started disappearing. After replacing the box it is fine again.

Get your gearbox oil changed, see if any little bits of metal fall out?

Cheers
