and whats "Bullshitter" Browns advice:

"Don't waste food"

FFS man, get with reality!

Exactly!

Hardly a pressing issue, since the economy has the potential of going straight down the drain, really?.....

And he then says that supermarkets "should stop the 3 for 1 offers" to discourage people buying too much.

Sorry, but Sainsbury's, Tesco's et al are private businesses (albeit those in which the public may own shares). So who the feck is he to dictate how the boards of directors should run said businesses????

Mind your own business Gordon - the supermarkets may be greedy b@stards who fleece farmers; however if they can assist the less well off in keeping the prices of food down during the credit crunch, then let them.

If this bunch of clowns in Government had spent a little more time dealing with real issues, instead of making schools teach gay rights; letting lesbos adopt children and opening our borders to all and sundry etc etc etc then they may just have noticed the economy going down the U-bend.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

here, here

Just seen on the news due to tumbling house sales Bullshitter Brown and his crew in da' house are set to lose 3 BILLION in stamp duty, I guess he is not going to recoup that by taxing us elsewhere??!!

What stealth tax will he introduce to regain the loss I wonder?

Guys I'm sorry to say but I have the proof - here is the Recession Looms caught on camera!

very:rolleyes:

Well the old man reckons it's the same in Spain, only not on the scale it is here!-the good thing is it's a buyers market, so here's hoping I can get a cheap house!!

Oh Yeah-Fook Britain and Gormless Brown!;)

Just read on teletext ' Gordon Brown says, I will lead you through this recession'........ Wot? Was that supposed to comfort me or scare me to death? It's New Labour taxes, support for the lazy, feckless, ferel, unwashed, bone idle, multi-spawning duvet champions that has got us into most of this mess.

Gordo will lead us through. That's like telling the turkeys that Mr Fox will lead them safely through Christmas.

Yep it is the same in Spain!

You will get a cheap house over there. But wait a bit. Its going to get worse over there before it gets better. Spain is heading fast back to the early 90s scenario of sales/prices due to the way new developments are financed and built.

There are already significant numbers of "idle cranes" down on the Costa del Sol

I agree with Si's oversimplification that all recessions are basically belief based, and I am afraid Browns leadership is knocking everyone's belief for six :(

My Conspiracy theory (It may be *****x BUT ITS MINE:tongue:)

We are being Brainwashed into a recession by the media But it is Government

led. Because Borrowing in this country has got totally out of hand and Panic has set in. So if we begin to talk of falling house prices and a recession

then people (like sheep) stop spending. This then leaves the money in the banks, who are cash poor at the moment and this helps relieve the problem.

This is why it hits mostly the smaller companies as the cash passed around begins to diminish.

Now the crooks that are the Government used to control this with interest rates but since this power has been taken from them they have to use more underhand methods.

Oh and while I am at it this also affects us in another way because as soon as we begin to talk recession the profiteering massive companies such as Petrol, Gas, Electric,Tesco Etc. all jump on the bandwagon and use it as an excuse to squeeze even more out of us.

might rename myself by deed poll, to "Northern Rock" I'll get 50 billion off the *******s then and nerver have to worry again.

Or maybe I could call myself "Olympic Games" would certainly get a few billion thrown at me then

The countries in turmoil but the government have bloody well got money when it comes to throwing it at shit that helps no body!

It's OK a report out only this morning tells us that motoring is cheaper now than in 1988. Phew! Came just in time coz I was sitting here thinking that with fuel up 210%, oil, MOTs, service parts, road tax, tolls, tyres all going up, that I was about to give my Zed away.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7496381.stm

So there it is people, your motoring is cheaper than 1988 - just ring up your local MP to thank them.

Good point - what names can we call ourselves to be sure that Govt (namely yours and my tax) can be thrown at us and no regard to costs and accountability?

OK I'll start - "Mr F.ake. Sillumseeka."

To be truthful I am fed up to the back teeth of HM government PLC, the country is in recession, people are struggling and road and fuel tax are going through the roof. Brown knows that he is on his way out and is screwing everyone before he leaves!

My 2p save your cash if you can, costs will rize and many will get caught out, it will be easy done, its global and a Uk problem, no more easy credit matched with increasing costs of living and general uncertainty. I predict a stock market slump in 2009 and some of the oil and resources prices will slump too, this will have a great impact as traders have been gambling on ever increasing oil and other resource prices with investments etc from other companies. Brits cash abroad will be drawn back in so expect foreign holiday propertys to start to drop too in certain areas, bargains for someone! ! Sports cars usually first to go you are starting to see more going up for sale on peoples drives etc just look around you its been happening for a while, and in my opinion this is only the start. Next 5 years anyone with cash will be in a great position and there will be opportunities but for most of us its gonna be tough. I was listerning to some key local leaders and chief executives talking away all the economic problems but I dont see any substance in their arguments. Yes the govt may be able to ride it out a bit but in the end we are just holding off the inevitable. Hang on its going to be a rough ride but it will all be ok in the end :) Be sensible with your money and enjoy life economies rise and fall and as they say the best things in life are free!!

The media will fuel the world with what they want in order to change things, the illuminati run the media they run the world they are everywhere we cant stop them. Im with simon on this one.

We are in recession, I spoke to a property developing company that builds luxury new homes, I kid you not they said they have not sold a house in 6 month's!!, the company has already laid off 5-6 admin staff... things are looking bad, and I would say one of the main causes has to be the over-inflated house prices, people committed to high mortgages when times were good, but now with living costs on the rise people are really struggling.... also just imagine how much extra money this government would have if we did not go to war with Iraq, it's the biggest con ever and has cost the lives of hundred's of 000's of innocent Iraqi's, the civilian devastation over there is unimaginable... how many UK troops have died for a lie?, all Blair and Bush have done is de-stabilse the world, and for what? I hope these 2 rot i hell

IMO the war in Afganyraq, and soon to follow Iran, is part of the new/old world order where the old soviet bloc/new capitalist bloc, is trying to carve up the world and America wants to get it's paws on the middle east before they have it!

Lee a mate of mine has just shut his estate agents doors he said "it's not worth it"

To cheer you up more on how well they run the government-

Somebody I know works for the prison service dealing with pay issues, try this situation.

Mr Smith a prison officer has decided to smuggle illegal items into the prison for the inmates, he gets caught and sacked. Oh and I forgot to mention they calculate hos loss of potential earnings with them becuase they've sacked him and give him a payout !!!!!

And this one.

Mr Jones a prison officer has decided to go sick again, one of many times and is eventually it gets so bad and he misses so much time they 'medically retired' can't use the sacked word. Oh and I forgot to mention they calculate hos loss of potential earnings with them becuase they've 'retired' him and give him a payout to !!!!!

And we wonder where the tax goes???

My 2p save your cash if you can,

That's why we are in a recession, people saying that and not spending! lol
