Just thought i'd show you what im doing with my 6x9's. Couldn't fit them in so i'd thought of designing my own pods. I have fiberglassed them today. Will show you tomorrow when i have finished them. Then will cover. They sound good!!:hyper:

I erm kinda messed mine up, but i got 6 by 9's in the boot in the placement of the 6 by 4's

Looking good there. Be sure to post up some pics when you're done. Our speakers are 7 x 10 so would prob be a real mission to do something like that! Might just go back to 6x9 or get some components. Not sure but need to save space!!

Get some decent components (for in the front) and a subwoofer (boot). You don't need speakers in the back as the "sound stage" is at the front. I've been in a few cars with competition style ICE setups and NONE of them had any speakers to the rear of the driver seat. Aparently it ruins the sound "balance" ... I don't have a clue what I'm talking about but this is what I was told was the reasoning behind it.

i know what you mean Dan....optimum set up is to have the boot for sub only....but in a more practical way if you do need boot space from time to time for kids n bags etc its nice to have something back there to fade up

I'm just finishing mine off now, back seats are gone, and a shelf runs all the way from the boot to just behind the drivers/passengers seats with two 6 x 9s mounted just behind the seats and 2 x 1200w infinity subs, i've filled all the nooks and crannies with expanding foam (and before you all start having a go at me yes i did read both sides of the arguement) and then they'll be the external shell that fits over the box they'll be trimmed in black leatherette then a fresh carpet in the back.

All the rear panels will be retrimmed in black leatherette too, just need to find some time to get stage one done finally and the weather's crap :(

Got one in.:hyper: Test run lol!!! Just got to smooth it a bit more. Not to worried about the finish as long as there are no major bumps. Im going to cover it next with Letherette. I think thats going to be the hardest bit. Any tips on covering stuff. Haven't got much of an idea:rolleyes:
