Back in the ze after rebuild but.....

Think im running bit rich....

bit of black smoke when revving on idle, also hesitation.

Am i just in need of good engine management system or maybe fpr? using one of andyp's chips to get me started for now..

I doubt its oxygen sensors as they seem to be working fine b4 rebuild so im bit stuck :(

What do you think?

Its a bit of a shame as i was hoping it to run spot on straight out the garage but that never works.

little black when i rev it on idle.

how many miles have you done? i ask this as the ecu will be in self-learn mode ime sure

Feels lumpy when pulling off and engine revs drop alot.

sounds like a sensor fault on that describtion mate

if its lumpy when pulling off id go see a doctor not ask about semen on here lol

but as znut says it may be in learn mode

only about 60, But im sure it should still be running up to stratch even with learn mode. Maybe im wrong.

Scott seems to think it needs a good ecu tune. And maybe o2 sensors. I dont think that would be the problem though.

oh and it also idles funny, hunting a bit.

i think the 1st thing you need to do jim is get it hooked up to conzult and see whats down on it

sounds like an air leak.. leading to overfuelling and dodgy idle

  • Author

Jaffa you could be right, scott said there was an air leak near the front left intercooler but he said it was only very slight. mmmmmmaybe thats the prob.
