Not had car that long (cuple of months). Reading posts re kwik fit was thinking of going there but have noticed belt missing to air con pump, got one on order, what common faults am i looking for, apart from no gas, with air con?

Forget Kwak Fart mate - the 300zx uses the old air con gas (R12 I believe). KF cannot do anything for it; you'll need a specialist who can either perform the conversion to R134 or supply the R12 substitute.

is the air con radiator still on the car? it sits in front of the main radiator...dont confuse it with the engine oil cooler....people tend to remove the air con rad when they want more cooling into the engine

Yes you can - see Paul C's "sticky" thread about it;)

 

However I doubt that a simple "fast fit" centre would have the expertise to perform the conversion properly.......

 

Best contact an a/c specialist IMO.......
