Who has a later revision PTU then?

Has anyone made thier own wiring harness?

Please help! :duffer:

I'm looking at buying this one which has a harness but not sure if it would need wiring into mine or be a direct fit.

I think I did make a harness for someone, but that one would just plug straight in.

That appears to be the Wiring harness than Nissan U.S.A manufactured to make it a direct fit into existing loom.

Exactly what i got hold of, direct fitment worked first time and cured problem.

If your ptu is still loacted on left cam cover it is a fiddly job, re route it and put elsewhere, thus easier to get to if it goes wrong. Mine is now below large fuse box cover.

For my Series II PTU I used the conversion wiring loom plugs to attach to my existing loom, make it a bit neater. That one is also missing the mounting plate, as was mine, so I made one with a bit of aluminium plate. Bargain of the century for only $30 though !!

Should be a doddle to install this. I ended up rewiring mine, because I only got the S2 plugs with bare ends!

Sounds good then :)

There are a few on us ebay for that kind of money

I already moved my ptu to under the nose panel where its mounted so no worries about the missing bracket either :)

my S2 had an adaptor, but due to a known problem with the connections to the S1 (dropped a couple of cylinders when it got warm), it was all hard-wired and soldered in. also reolcated to under headlight panel. where it should be in the first place!!!

Ok cheers Dave, might end up cutting my loom and soldering the S2 plugs on then if that happens.

I put a NEW series 2 in and relocated it under fuse box and all was fine for about a week then it packed up! got the old one back on for the time and works fine! so now need to test the series 2 find out whats wrong with it any ideas?:headvswal

has anyone else had any s2 ptu's fail on them? Something I'm a little bothered about as they are still old used parts.
