Hello good people of 300ZX.co.uk

I used to be a member many moons ago, but sadly had to sell my beloved NA SWB due to it costing way too much in insurance and fuel

Thankfully, I may well be back in the market for another. I currently have a 200SX S13 which I have ploughed a few grand in (engine rebuild, new turbo, FMIC and some other choice mods), but they guy I bought it off now wants to buy it back :D

Sooo, after a good hard think, if he does indeed buy it back, I'll be on the lookout for a manual NA. I'm trying to keep costs down, hence NA and not TT. Ideally I'd go for a manual NA SWB, but they seem to be so damn rare I haven't found one for sale yet :(

Other than the obvious (Auto Trader, eBay), does anyone know of any place I could carry on hunting for one? Google is letting me down a bit at the moment.

Hope I posted this in the right section :)

Cheers,

Graham

Hehe, small world.

Yep, that's mine alright...or I assume it is, haven't seen another bright orange one in the area :D

Have to admit I haven't seen many Zeds in the area either, but I'll keep an eye out for you lol

hello and welcome (back) :D

Good luck on the Zed hunt!

Hiya Bud, welcome 'back' ;) :) I suppose its a bit of a waiting game, if you want that exact spec, but i'm sure a couple will turn up. :) Good luck.

Cheers mate, yeah I know I should wait, but I get impatient hehe. Besides, if the lad wants the 200 back, I may have to buy sooner rather than later.

Is there much difference between the LWB and SWB in terms of performance and handling? I'm assuming that the LWB is a little bit heavier, and not quite as good around the twisty's.

LOL, i know what you mean, i'm very impatient also :(

Regarding LWB and SWB i'm no expert however i think there are pro's and con's for both. I believe the SWB will obviously handle better however it is harder to control if you are really going for it, and vice versa with the LWB, it won't handle quite as good, but easier to control. HTH :)

I have a LWB and a heavy right foot, but i've never had a problem at all :)

I figured it would be something like that. I can always remove the rear seats :D

Will the club be represented at JAE this year?

i'm living in darlington at the moment but my parents live in helston court round the corner, next time i go past i'll beep :D

LWB more stability on longer faster corners.

SWB more responsive round the shorter corners, its also lighter so slightly better braking and acceleration.

who done the rebuild then? FRD or spud?
