hi im looking at buying a 1989 300ZX Z32 non turbo for about $4000 AUD

 

 

the dealer says "has noise in water pump area" and all up probably cost $1000 to mend. A mechanic friend of mine said i would need a new water pump and a new timing belt probably.

 

So anyway i come here to ask you guys, are there any common issues with these cars that i should be looking out for when i take it for a test drive ?

as to noisy zed you're thinking of.....be very careful...personally i'd walk away but if you like a bit of drama then go for it...what is the exchange rate AUS$ to £?

also even with getting the noise fixed, its still much cheaper then any other 300zx around
