Joely told me what it is called, but i have forgotten agian, can someone please tell me the special tool that you can use to untighten the oil filter, thank you :)

there are many types of wrench available, but id say you need the one with nylon srtap to warp round the filter the 1/2" wrench to go in the socket bit to remove it. i reakon it's called a oil filter wrench!.............I can get you one and give it to you at the carting meet next weekend if you like..............Jay

wasnt the tool i told you about a gurt big screwdriver pummelled through the filter? we could call it the screwdriver torque incision tool

i did my engineering college work experience at a light aircraft service shop

i must admit when working on smaller aircraft it wasn't just as simple as changing the filter. we had to cut the old one,open with what was like a tin opener , cut out the flilter itself clean it up and inspect for metal particles. to see how worn the engine was. that was a pain i tell ya
