Yes - it was the penultimate shape like the Mk1 Cav coupe; in sapphire blue with blue velour seats and steering wheel with 3 metal spokes that had the holes in them. If that makes sense...?

 

I think the 1.8 with tartan was the basic version of the later shape Manta.........that Berlinetta may have been the poor man's GT/E??

The bloke across the road to me had one in that copper colour before I got mine - I loved his, hence I bought one. He was a mechanic and fitted the Webbers and Janspeed exhaust for me:hyper:

The Almera was probably my favourite daily driver :eek:, totally reliable, pretty nippy and brilliant handling. Once followed a Golf VR6 on a 'spirited' drive along country lanes and he couldn't lose me.
