I've never liked having clutter on the dash, ruins the nice swooping lines of it, so something like this makes perfect sense. I had thought about getting an Apexi AVCR and hiding it away in the centre consol. But I think I'll go down this route.

ive seen them put in place of the interior clock

I know. Looks good, but want to keep my clock.

Fit something useful there, not a turbo timer. lol ;)

Useful???? What would u suggest?

My boost controller is in the stock clock position!

It's actually a turbo timer I think. But I think it's similar in dimension to the Profec-B.

I would have suggested a boost controller. But you already have one of those! LOL ;) Find turbo timers a bit of a waste of cash. Plan ahead, far better than letting your car cool down on idle.

Looks like older version of the Greddy FATT turbo timer , its not same size as Profec B Spec II Boost controller.....I''d say thats longer(wider) and not as tall as the profec which could be an issue.

They've had to modify the original warning lights panel quite a bit to fit that in..

They've had to move the original warning lights panel to fit that in, and looks like a different lens panel covering them.

Now you mention it, I can see the difference in the panel.

As for the sizes, here's a comparison with the old Profec-B. Slightly taller, but similar width.

Yeah, its all fair enuf saying plan ahead but there is times when that isnt possible!

i've always thought they are a good idea......means that it gives the engine time to cool down without having to sit in the car!

Really? I've never had that issue. ;) I guess they are beneficial for track cars, but can't see much use for them other than that. The best way to let turbos and engine to cool down is to drive off boost for the last 5 mins of your journey. :)

It was height than concerned me tbh

This pic shows the changes they made the warning lights panel.

(only pic I could find on my Laptop)

TBH, I don't really see the difference in check control windows...obviously the one I posted is LHD, but look at the smaller check controls, they aren't that different in size.

:slap: Doh...I had'nt noticed it was LHD...so the panels were other way around LOL

I've put my Boost controller where the fuel gauge was - I can't afford petrol so no point in having a gauge...................

The only prblem with the idle cool down is that the oil and water in the engine doesn't flow around as much as it does when you are moving, coming off boost for a couple of miles after a good bashing if far better for the car then to pull up and let it idle for 2 mins.

LOL nice photoshop :D

that is super smooth; iv'e seen a lot of them mounted under the dash on the panel between the steering wheel and pedals

I like it Si......

.....that's so subtle that I almost didn't notice it!

Much better than sticking loads of shite over the dash:cool:

Richard:bow:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Hi Si,

This is a cheaky little number. Apexi do this one with the display in a small remote unit. The main unit can be tucked away out of sight.

It is a perfct fit between the top of the steering colum and the milometer reset button.

Not only that, when the engine is running it can display volts, Air/Fue Mixture or 02 hence eliminating the need for lots of extra guages.

Less is more, less is more!!!!
