parking her up for 2 years..... what to sort?

Ok the Z is going to have to be parked up for 2 years, and wondering what needs to be done so when i come back to her she'll fire up. so far i've done:

- remove battery and put on a timer to trickle charge for 1/2 hr each day

- put some moisture soaking crystals inside

- put the front and back on blocks to raise wheels of the ground

- put her under a huge cover (she'll be garaged anyway)

any other pointers, only things i thought was putting in some fuel addative to help prevent rust etc, what do people think???? cheers

Fill the tank with petrol, up to a brim, it will prevent corrosion inside the tank and in two years time, the litre of petrol will be about £3.99 lol

could you just add a fuel additive to prevent the rusting, since full tank of fuel about £60 or bottle of additive £2 to £5??

yeah £3.99 a little sounds about right!!

the reason for brimming the tank is to remove all the air from it.

Only other way would be to totally drain the tank.

Although correct me if im wrong but the fuel tank shouldnt corrode for having fuel in it surely?? It would corrode from the outside in, not the inside out?

Certainly wouldn't fill the tank with fuel. It'll be as stale as Lolo Ferrari's knickers by the time you get back to it in 2 years seeing you about 4ron! lol

not the inside out?

It could corrode from the inside if there was condensation in it. Little in the way of changing atmosphere in there though, so it shouldn't really do much.

coat all the brake pipes with grease to stop them corroding and leave the handbrake OFF
