sorry! have searched.

am going to fit a dv soon.

i know you have to remove the standard recuircs, then block them off.

most people put their aftermarket ones where the standard ones.

(where as on a 200SX people put them on the Hot or cold intercoooler pipes.

anyway, can i just put ONE dump valve in replace of the standard one, and just block the other standard one off?

or do i have to have 2, one each side?

You need 2 buddy.. One each side.

Never heard of doing just one! It's a Zed... everything comes in twos ;) I've got aPexi ones one mine in the recirc position and they work great.

it can be done with just 1 but for the trouble its worth with all the fabrication you mayaswell just use 2, the apexi's are no longer available but theres plenty to choose from such as the baileys dv26 or 36

ok, il search the forum/ebay for a set.

or just buy another one.

the one i have is a HKS SSQV Copy, not the origonal.

they any good?

will i need an adapter/fitting kit? or just do they connect onto where the standard ones went

Thats not gonna fit where the re-circs are. They'l need to go onto one of the boost ic boost pipes (normally the outside one) You'll need a hard pipe with a T for the conection

The Apexi's are a direct replacement of the re-circs.

these are mine to give you some ideas.

THey are HKS SSQV's i believe, im not sure though. Ive only been told that they are!

ah....

i had a SSQV on my 200sx, which went on the IC pipes.

thaut it wouldnt go on the standard Z32 ones,

so is it cheaper/easier to get ones to replace the standard ones?

or go for something to go on the IC pipes.

or may just remove the standard ones, block then off and do the pigeon mod.

(aka wastegate chatter) thats the cheepest i imagine :)

Cheapest for as long as the tubs last

Also depends what noise your after, the Apexi's really are just pressurised air release but the HKS ones have a more high pitch wistle

yea i know the HKS sound, had it before.

either after a splashing one, or just the Pigeon will do :)

Just leave the standard recircs.... thats the cheapest way to do things!

IMHO it sounds a bit gay every gear change. They are also completly pointless and serve no purpose whatsoever - the standard recirc is a far superior system.

in that case i'll swap you some standard re-circs that i have in the garage for your hks set up :D

ah well... i didnt say i didnt mind em ;) lol

Might take them off at some point and get them sold. They do get properly in the way of mounting HID's without going under the headlamps!

All i was saying is that I wouldnt go out and buy them, the car came with them on and since it started life as an automatic i never really herd them until it because a manual... Obviously an Auto never comes of boost through a gearchange, so unless i was accelerating hard within a gear and rapidly removed my foot from the throttle it didnt do anything!

hmmm mines an auto and my d-v's work when letting off the accellerator, i'll have first dibs on them when you want rid as long as its not before september, lol and i'll even supply you with the re-circs
