hi again all i am thinking of de catting my 1990 n/a as the exhaust is rotting and will need replacement i have been told that cars registered before 1992 does not need cats for the M.O.T. anybody have any idea on the legality of this ie if the car was built with cats do they have to remain on the car? thanks

well, its not shit. They are a fabulous car and once you get them in the blood thats it your hooked.

 

Sadly where as the 200sx is a sports coupe, these were a supercar in their day and of course are a very exotic specificaion which comes with a price, they need constant money and specialist to look at them. Hell to say you have a:

 

Twin turbo charged and twin intercooled V6 engine with direct ignition and variable valve timing along with 4 wheel steering and variable assistance could be any modern supercar!

is it worth the risk i ask?

 

decat = faster spool up, increased power.

 

mine has done 75k miles, which is low (1991)

 

maybe ok to decat, and not have smokey turbos.

 

dont think its worth the risk tho.

 

 

can someone go into the One Way valve thing on a Z32 please?

 

if smokes on idle, have a valve in the intake/breather pipe to stop this...
