But having read some of today's posts, I have to go for a vote :

WHO IS THE MOST ANNOYING PERSON ON THE FORUM ?

I'm going for Banzai followed by AY666 (or whatever his name is). Banzai has to win though because I have to admit to agreeing with one or two of AY's posts !

Dave

P.S. How far is this thread gonna go before closure smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Hairsy, yes still got the Caterham and love it more every day.

Trax 2001 I thought was a little too Max Power for me but it actually started me on the track day thing so has to be good in that respect.

I was sad to see the ZX go but I had 3 cars at the time and I never used it.

How are your finances now Dave? Got enough for a Tuscan R yet or are you going to join the Caterham gang?

After driving a modded 300ZXTT for a few years you wonder where you can go next and the answer is lighter stuff!

You can't beat the Zed for those lovely 120+ rollons but all the fun in the 7's is going round roundabouts at warp speed!

You know it makes sense Dave!

Simon Pass

P.S. Banzai, you sound like a Pri*k! Were you bullied at school?

Probably still AT school

Simon,

Married now so I have a somewhat more persuasive conscience than before.

I apparently now feel that it is far more important to spend my money on a house. And cat food. And whenever I talk about wanting a nice car I get reminded that I can drive her MX5 whenever I want !

My time will come though ...

Not sure what I'd get but another Z isn't out of the question. But I miss the V8 noise. Has anyone ever stuck one in a 7 ? Or do I need to go the Westfield route for that ? Or perhaps Cobra replica (couldn't afford a real one) ?

Dave, never heard of a V8 in a 7 but yes Westys are V8'able.

Latest trick is the Fireblade engine in a 7.

180+HP in a 395kg car. Work out the power/weight ratio and with a 900cc engine the tax is cheap too!

Simon (since this has turned out to be our personal thread),

Do you know what they do about a flywheel on the firebird version ? Surely it must need something quite substantial to give sufficient torque to be driveable - even in a 7 !

D

Dave, no they do little to the engine, other than bolt a flange to the output shaft.

Details are on http://www.jameswhiting.co.uk

James is a great chap and loves to talk Caterhams!
