One of my customers who lives locally regularly uses his Murcielago to do the shopping at our local-ish Morrisons! Not that long ago he was there in is black Murci when a young lady showed up in her white Gallardo Spyder! When I asked why he didn't do his shopping at a more "up-scale" establishment he answered quite plainly that he sees no reason to squander his hard earned cash just because he has a fair bit of it. Fair point.

As for the R8, lovely car that - I liked the one that showed up at ZO08 on the Saturday ... was that anyone on here? Personally I would wait for the V12Tdi version that's been doing the rounds of all the magazines ... It may be an oilburner but that's what makes it so different. I'll get my coat now ... ;)

I didn't think they were going to put the diesel into production. It does look fantastic (even in red :x:)

Uno - what does your friend do for a living? I always wonder that when I see brand new sports cars..

That car (as featured in the Top Gear article and numerous other magazine features) is actually an "incomplete" car. The gearbox is out of an A4 and they had to limit the torque to half of what it should be. I asked the dealer principal about this car a few weeks back when I was looking at an S8 and he said no final decision had been made whether this car will see production. However, he was quick to add that it does look likely but potentially as a limited production run only. Guess we'll have to wait and see ...

I really must set up my own trade firm! Earning other people money is never going to buy me one of those!
