Well car has been running alot better now so went up and took it for a nice clean. When I go to drive away I put the car into Hold mode and both the power light and the hold light come on.....

 

So when it is in Hold mode and I put foot down it flys instead of the nice gentle pull of and gear change. but when i put in power mode just the Power light comes on, what would be the reason for this as has only just this minute happened :(

first of all you need to get it on a conzult, it could be anything from an error code to a dodgy switch

More than likely the tps is knackered, i thought my box was dead sticking in gears etc and lights flashing all over the shop, changed and set up the sensor correctly and it was like having a new gearbox again.
