Woke up this morning to see tree at bottom of my garden bent double, that wasnt forecasted on the weatehr report last night. Next door lost their roof tiles. My car cover wasnt on my car, so isnt wrapped round a tree down the road, and it hasnt dammaged my car in anyway.

 

But is anyone else going to the airshow that wont happen today in southend?

I got the weather off the TV the night before, and they didnt mention force 7 gusts to 10

even in teh morning they where saying it was only force 6 to 7. My brother had a tree come down in his back yard.

I was only saying yesterday I haven't been to a proper airshow in about 15 years.

Are there still any of the big ones going on like I remember when I was a kid?

Most of the ones that I see advertised now are just a fly over from a few planes.

I used to go to ones out at the big old airfields like Church Fenton, Farnborough, Mildenhall where they had all the WWII stuff and some serious planes like the SR71 Blackbird etc.

We have an annual one here in Southport that people seem to hold in high regard, however cos i live here i've never been to it :rofl: :rofl: I just sit at home and complain about the noise :rofl:

sunderland airshow is fantastic, i usually go and get drunk at the various beertents and pubs along the seafront, think its at the end of july

fking thing, we get annoyed from time to time when the "Vulcan Club" spark up the engine so everyone can gawp, the things not allowed to take off though. Its defening and we have to go inside if we are playing tennis.

yep do a google for rochford tennis club and you can see the flipping thing just to teh south

the southport one is awesome not only because its an air show but they also have a car show with all makes and plenty of stalls and also remote air planes and cars also its a quality show but you get a lot of traffic
