Does sound like the matrix, mate....

And it's a bitch of a job to change I believe. Don't buy a second hand one - just not worth it, as it may go bad leaving you to do that work again.

Contact Mike at MJP for a replacement. Otherwise Zedworld will do the whole job for around the £400 mark IIRC.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Dont drive it around with the matrix leaking, you'll lose water and cook the engine. If you need/want to drive it then bypass the matrix first.

New Matrix is about £120 and 2-3 hours labour.

........ouch at £400! Take it elsewhere. New Matrix is about £120 and 2-3 hours labour.

2-3 hours - I thought the dash etc had to come out! Shows how little I know........:o

Although around here you are still looking at £50-60 per hour plus VAT for a decent mechanic, so it could still be well into the £300s all in...:x:

Can be done with the dash in although I took mine out as I changed the clutch booster and removed the air con at the same time. Took me about 20 hours in total but wasnt in a rush!
