ok after sorting my boost pipe probs took car for a long run today approx 280miles up through the highlands and glens with the company of another zed,3 supras and a lexus

running a mixture of a road cruising and b road ragging and open road lunacy

near the end of the run i was noticing what sounded like low level pinking when in overdrive low rev just feathering throttle, then when flooed to overtake a coach got loud pinking which i am assuming is det but zed didnt go into safety mode and continued to boost as normal,

zed has a mines ecu, hks mushroom, decatt (although has 4 silencers then the back boxes) running at 1 bar of boost ,any thoughts on this could it be possible that a colder grade of plugs is needed

wouldn't have thought this hot dry air would help :(

yea it was warm but not that hot about 18-20c in fact there was a shower not long before it happened ,

i did put in 20 quids of bp ultimate to get me home as petrol gauge was just above the empty, i normally use v power

another thing i noticed ,i just fitted a set of autogauge boost, oil, and water temp , the water temp is showing 70c when driving and 80c when sitting at idle does this seem a little cooler than its suppose to be ,maby the prevous owner had a cooler thermastat fitted??
