fitted mig tips last week and found no differance in performance so when car was in garage to try and locate a small oil leak, removed intake a turbo hoses to find the boost seliniod had been bypassed , recon when car was in japan an electronic bc must have been fitted and then removed at aution but pipework not put back the way it should, so it seems the zed s only been running on manifold pressure, found pipework running in front of rad the passanger intake and round back of block so we just removed all the pipework threw it over our shoulders and started again with the help of a borrowed manual (thanks ttam) and some advice from the great duffman himself(many thanks) eventualy got it all in place, fitted an oil sandich plate for my new oil gauge cut a big hole in me dash to fit a z centre gauge pod, removed my pods and sent them to groover changed my clocks to uk ones , fitted a water adapter for my temp gauge , fired her up and oil pissed out of the sandwich plate water pissed out of the water adapter noticed that the rev needle was at 5 o,clock (needle must of stuck there when cluster was upside down) , so we binned the sandwich plate and refitted sensor to replace stock sensor changed jubilee clips on water adapter to real jubilee clips remove cluster again and flicked back over rev needle,

to car out to test run and it hit 1.3 bar had det and safety boost (put in .6mm tips in instead of .8mm) replaced mig tips cleared ecu rerun and still safety boost at 1 bar checked for error codes and none re run again and safety again checked ecu turned potentiameter to mid till red light stays on problem solved no more safety boost (strange one that)

had car sitting outside of workshop next to perth harbour when a they start unloading grain from a cargo ship with the wind blowing towards the car so guess wat, the car gets covered in about an inch of dust ahhhhhh

anyway now the zeds running 1 bar of boost i,v got an accurate set of water oil and boost gauges fitted to a nice dash pod my pods and cluster are now in led blue (great job groover) i now know how fast im driving in mph, a new set of front tension rod bushes and new front brake brake pads , so all that remains to do is to go get zed washed and have a few :duffer::duffer:

but many thanks to the duffman for his wisdom, ttam for his manual(promise i,ll return it:D),groover for doing such a good job with the pod led,d, to bruce for offering to bring his zed up to let my mechanic take to pieces and to mike from mjp for faxing up diagrams i owe you all a few :duffer::duffer:

WHAT A WEEK EH!!!!!
