Well, after a few brown trouser moments in the rain it was time for some new tyre's :nana2:

Went for a full set as the fronts were badly worn on the inside, and after much searching decided decided to go with markzx's advice and get some S02's.

They were expensive (but cheaper than T1-R's for some reason), but the difference is amazing, so much quieter on the motorway and the car actually feels more stable when cornering. Just shows how important tyre choice is!

Attached a couple of pics for any one interested in big black rubber things :D

Good choice! S0-2s are no longer being produced by Bridgestone anymore so it's just the remaining surplus that is being sold. They do take a bit to warm up, but the nice weather recently would help.

Ive used F1's for the past 6 years and so far the zed has stayed out of the bushes!

Where do you get your info from. They are being made as Porsche only fitment and come as standard on the Kayman and a couple more present production models. Lots of tyre shops are saying they are no longer being made, but this is totally untrue due to the porsche contract.

If your tyre supplier is telling you they are no longer being made it is more likely that they are not porscher recomended and therefore do not get discount on the tyre. Speek to Deemon Tweaks George Williams or any other high performance Tyre specialist.

Too true, I didn't even expect the place to have them, actually asked for S0-3's and the guy said they had both. They do deal with alot of Porsche's and other high end cars.

I have so-2's on mine (standard uk) can only get the Porsche fittment on uk rims. Very good tyre for grip and also last longer than the toyo's my mate has on his ZED. I also had the so-3's on my Lotus Elan SE and got very good life out of them. Try Elitedirect.com very good for tyre's
