Sorry bud but I just dont like them, everyone to their own though.

Its like the Audi ones the first couple I saw I quite liked, now the more I see the more chav looking they appear to be getting.

NP. Like you said everyone to their own. CHAV might have been a bit of a strong word though. Blue LED's under body illumination and all that I can see as chav maybe we dont see chav in the same light? But your opinions are gratefully accepted :D

This is what they look like in day light turned off. For those that like them ;)

Hi Vin,

I'm not mad on them either mate - although I agree with your chav comments!

Then I don't like the "real thing" on the Audi A5 or R8 either so it's not anything against copies finding their way on to other cars;)

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Love the Audi ones and i'm liking the look of those aswell Vini, did'nt think they would look good, but i am pleasantly surprised. Nice one bud :D

I personally love these on the Audis. Not sure about your yet but defo not bad as such. would be good to see a front on view to get perspective with the rest of the front of the car...if you know what I mean...

Not my cup of tea but it aint my car either!!!

Maybe if they were closer togther it would look better. The other option is to use colour changing LEDs and drive it around at Christmas time. Would be a hoot with the kids........:nana2::nana2::nana2:

I like them but think you need more leds and going further into the top corner?

Exactly what I thought. BUT! there was no room up there. Because I had to drill through both layers of plastic :( The highest one is as high as I could go even then I had to cut the length of the LED holders.

various remarks

I have removed all the lights from my modified strosek bumper so needed an idea for side lights and indicators. Building the indicators into the healamp was a no go because you wouldnt see it with the headlights on?

So side lights sorted I have now got to find somewhere to house the indicators :D. Its all good fun though. So I might even add some more christmas lights?:p

AND. yes its an obvious copy of the Audi set up and thats because I really like them on that car. The headlights have always been a bone of contention to me as they are not my favourite shape. So little changes like this add individuality and change the overall shape of the units.

Thanks

vini

Well like i said bud, i like em' :D :duffer:

Thanks mate. My other idea was to try and fit Fiat Punto lights into the houseing? Sounds a bit abstract but they are nice little units with the Xenon and chrome surround but its the cost of buying them and finding out they wont fit that scared me off :D

Its nice to get feedback when you have an idea. Negative or positive as there are so many different ideas floating about. I just didnt like the piss take christmas comment. It stired the old school vini and I dont want to go there anymore.:o

Why do some people on here make such insensitive comments sometimes :mac1: Keep your comments your side of the screen if you can't come up with something constructive to say

.............................................

Fair play to you Vini.. Nothing wrong with being different, and mucho respecto for having a go at it all yourself

Looking forward to seeing a full-on front shot with both lamps done.. Also sounds interesting what you have done with your Strosek bumper, looking forward to seeing that aswell mate ;)

All the best with it :)

Well what can i say, its ok to take the piss aslong as you know the person, even if it is only through the forum, however that comment came from someone who i don't think you've even had a forum conversation with, so fair do's really, he probably did'nt mean it to be but it was an insult!

Anyway bud, i think it has come out well and lets face it you've pioneered it now :D  :duffer:

I like that alot, i wondered what a strosek would look like without the lights :D So what's your idea for the indicators?

Dare I say it?

I was thinking about a row of 5 LED's (orange of course) to follow the line above the air intake on each side, each LED about 10mm apart?

I also thought about those stick on indicators but think they WOULD look a bit tacky? But as yet I haven't really decided. The bumper is quite well on into the transformation so when I get a bit of an idea I will PS some pictures to see how it might look. ;)

I ain't joking but that is exactly what i was thinking. Orange LEDs along the side vents - great minds think alike :D :duffer: And i think your right about the stuck on indicators, i think it will look better as a very clean smooth look :)

Good work on the LED's Vin! Was thinking of doing that myself this summer but ya beat me to it! It's what I imagined they'd look like and it's nice to see them on yours fully functional and work... Always admire someone for trying something new and different with they're Z that hasn't been done before... Fair play dude...
