WHHHOOOOAAAAA..Just drove my Z out of safety boost for the 1st time!!

My car's been in safety mode since i bought it (un-known to me at the time) and i just spent the day fitting a blitz sbc-i colour boost controller. Took it for a very carefull test drive and :bow: :bow: ITS ****ING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the nose panel off and the targas off. Its a boost monster !!! the BOV's are bloody loud!!

 

Its like having a new car, you actually have a rush of acceleration on boost. Never had it at 7 psi and im only pushing it to 11 psi now!

 

All the money spent, repairs that have been done hours spent working on problems with it don't mean shit now!, i couldn't care less that its still high idling now and then and i may need a new diff............For now i'm happy :dance::dance: :D

    Great news buddy, i know what you mean i had the same problem with my purple one for a while and when safety boost switches off it's awesome :D

    I was told the best value for money one was the greddy profec b spec II, so i got that one off ebay for about £160 all in brand new. I'm getting it fitted professionally though. :)

    Just be CAREFUL lots of old biddies walking about the place nowadays and they get sucked up into the tubs quite easily. :D

    Why was it running safety boost in the first place though?

     

     

    Tracked it down to a break in the wiring loom between the ecu and the boost solenoids. Options were a new loom or bypass the system with a boost controller.
