:slap: Poss gonna get shot down in flames but i am seriously considering a R33 GTR, the reason being is in my household we have got 3 cars my SWB, Smart car (everyday) and my fiancee's mx5 all with 2 seats. Whenever i want to do something i.e go to the tip e.t.c i have to borrow my mum and dads car !!!! I have always had a soft spot for the gtr and wondered if anyone has owned one before and could comment.

Thanks guys:nelson:

its not just that mate, i've been thinking about one for a while my best mate had a really nice one which i drove round France and since then i have had a soft spot ! what can i say. And yes i am a spanner !!!

a very expensive spanner.

Well its your choice, but what about the poor zed? you bored already?

first dibs on all your parts:D

lol, i would be gutted to get rid of the zed ! and you can have a couple of wheel nuts from my car and nothing else lol !! oh and if i was to sell mine i would only sell for a very very good price and would not let it go for nothing.

Pretty sure the R33 GTR rear seats dont fold down. Does;nt make it very particle if thats what you want it for.

Zed's are a lot more praticle than you think, more so the 2+2 though. My old 2+2 Zed was way more praticle than my brother-in-laws 53-plate scooby.

I could take wife, kids luggage and dog (retriever) in the zed for a weekend away...could'nt do that in a skyline.

lol

if you say so :D

but i suppose its good to make your self think that way, thats how i try to think aswell but it never works :(

I personally like the r33 :) But if it is for practical reasons then its no good, like legrath said you'd be better of with a lwb zed :)

only 4 posts to go !!!!

Come on James only 2 to go :rofl:

i could get more in my zed the my GTR (seats dont fold down) but rear seat leg room is a lot better. my kid was getting to big for the back of a zed so got a GTR but will get a SWB zed in the future

From experience I'd say if you like driving the Zed hard you will not get on with the GTR . Yep its great for the first few weeks, but then you realise that once your used to it you really cannot freek yourself out with it. You can go round corners faster, but no butterfly and twitchy on the raged edge. In the end you realise that it isn't as rewarding to drive, isn't as good looking and the frigging boot is actually smaller that the Zed because all the clever tricks take up most of the space from behind the rear seat to half of what you think the boot should be.

Shit no your right get a Skyline and sell me you SWB.

P.S. first dibs on the SWB if its for sale.

Of course the R33 GTR twitches and breaks the rear end out, you just havent driven it hard enough. This is with a standard one, much less a modified example.

It is a RWD car 90% of the time, alot of people crash GT-Rs because they dont treat it as one.

I don't know how you could even consider getting rid of yours over an R33.

Indeed!

James you are a spanner for considering it... :nelson:

Everything I drive I've driven seriously hard buddy and to make such a comment without knowing who or what I'm about is a bit daft. Rear wheel drive is more engaging and takes a lot more skill to keep on the tarmac. and the 10% of the time that the GTR is not rear wheel drive is the times you would be working a lot harder and in a more focused manner if you were driving a rear Wheel drive car to its limits.

Been there done that got the T shirt and I stick by what I said.
