Does anyone know how to tell an original greddy from a fake apart from the logo on the silicone hoses?

Are greddy intercoolers stamped like koyo rads?

Cheers for any help in advance!

Perhaps no one responded cos they don't know. Despite having sold around 30 sets of Greddy coolers myself, i still had to google it and in 30 secs found YES Greddy coolers are stamped with Greddy on the top.

I know side mounts, but you get the jist.

Yeah, perhaps. Cheers for the observation...

Thanks for telling me about the sidemounts (I know that already).

Congratulations on having sold 30 sets of side mount intercoolers (always worth bigging your self up in someone elses thread!)

I am very impressed at your speed on the internet. Well done, you must be very proud.

Your levels of sarcasm are also worth a mention, well done.

You can have 10 out of 10 for effort and 10 out of 10 for hitting the nail squarely on the thumb.

Now, can anyone else tell me (preferably someone who has owned one) if a Greddy FMIC is stamped or has any sign that it is a genuine one?!

Am i missing something here:confused: i thought Paul's answer was not in any way a pi$$ take

Yes Greddy is embosed into the top of its coolers as is HKS, PWR (Power Enterprise), Stillen, Z1 and McCuloch.

The Chinese and North Korean copies tend to have a stencil etch on the top rather than a genuine pressed emboss. + then their is the Chinese and North Korean brands such as Autobhan and Sonita. North Korean Sonita cooler are beautifully crafted but how well calibrated I don't know, but they make genuine coolers and inductions for big name brands such as K&N etc.

My thoughts too! Huh?

It wasn't mate, i was just pointing out to someone who was clearly getting frustrated at no responce from here, simply googling for the answer does the job.

As for the selling 30 sets, it was mearly to point out that having seen so many sets in front of me over the years, i still didn't know myself so just googled it, which brings me back to point 1.

Not to worry, i can take it ;)

Neither did I but I'm not surprised there was no answer.

It was posted just before midnight then bumped back to the top at 12:30am then again at 8.30am

How many people were reading the forum during the night???

How many of those own or have ever seen a Greddy front mount???

Zero! :slap: LOL

I've been on here about 7 years and seen a lot of coolers and I couldn't tell you.

Sorry for bigging myself up there  LOL

I know andy he is a top fella and I think he must be picking up the wrong end of the stick here. I must admit I have read things in the past and completely taken the wrong slant!

 oh well hopefully he will re-read and come to the same conclusions of ours

We do not want any more bitchin do we :D

Take a look at the image at the top of the link below, it just about shows that the front mounts are embossed with the logo.

Though with the way you come over in this thread, I am not sure why I looked for you to be honest...

Cheers Buddy,

That's exactly what I was looking for!

Every picture I tried to find of the 3 row FMIC was a straight on front shot and didn't give anything away.

Thanks to every one else for thier help too!
