They are Huge, I was looking at ordering a set to try out. As long as you modifiy the stock intercooler ducts I reckon these should work pretty well, especially considering the price.

I thought these we're the same as mine but I was wrong, as Legrath says they're massive!

i missed (not) from the front of my first post :x:. what about fitment though behind the bumper if they are that big ?

Been looking at these for a while now, and it seems that they do slightly fowl the stock indicator housing where the bulbs fit into the housings, but it only makes fitment of indicators a little tricky and does'nt actually cause any real fitment issues.

Man i just know am gonna shot down on this, but here goes :D

Having seen the likes of HKS and Stillen coolers fitted on Zeds with and without the bumper fitted, you can see that the entire top section of the cooler does not even get any cold air directed at it, you rely on cold air coming in on the face that is ducted and then travelling up the cooler and suposedly back down to the outlet, which is not at the top of the cooler.

Now with these, they are possibly the tallest i've ever seen, 1 3rd of the cooler gets cold air, 2 3rd's doesn't, the outlet pipe to take the now suposedly cooled air is half way, just how much air gets to the top of the cooler before it's gone on it's merry way through the outlet pipe, so IMO, totally wasted.

Look at the likes of greddy, a small bit taller which still accommdates any duct completly but is twice as thick. ARC who are renowned for producing the most efficient SMIC anywhere around the world, also use thicker core but better angled outlets which increases flow.

So personally with this particular set, the motto "it's bigger so it must be better" IMO does not apply. I just feel the seller is trying use the size as a selling point when in reality you can actually have it too big.

In fact as any decent honest chick will confirm, sometimes too big, is just wasted and of no use! :D

Thatts why Legrath said you would need to modifiy the ducts to ensure air is sent to the entire cooler.

Due to the size of them, i would see that as an impossibility though fella.

Having made my own custom ducts to accommadate my coolers and bumper, theres no way you could get ducts angled that far up, the cooler listed above has around half of it that sits behind the indicator housing!

These guys supplied my turbo rebuild kits.

Even if these are a waste at least your islolating as much cold air as possible with a side mount........... and the price is the best part!!!!!!! I may be gievn these a go myself.... i can feel a GB coming soon :D

Group Buy. Share all the import dutys then :D

The import duties will still be the same

That end tank design is terrible

They are buying these up in the U.S. I dont see an issue with them, as long as you duct them properly (Fog ducts would be ideal). Wether there design lends themselves to being as good as the big name brands is another question...but better than stock...definatly.

Here's a high powered example with them : http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2074139

Welll ive just been on the us forum the aussy forum and all looks good, so far nothing but good words from peeps who have fitted them , etc etc loads of peeps are buying them out there no problems, some have compared them to the greddies saying the build welds are impressive if not the same.

so Theres PROOF that these can handle 700 bhp from the link legrath just posted. im sorry but i dont need any more convincing. And for the price im really getting a stiffy :D

I see no problem with purchasing these. If they are doing it why cant we?

God speed also make radiators and other fabricated parts for the 300zx and have all had good reviews.

The price is also going up on these so it seems???

heres the link to the thread in question.

Yeah they are slightly bigger than the ones i got, but mine are still much bigger than stock.

Mine only gave me an extra 12hp with the same amount of boost lol, intake temps were reduced by 10c which isnt as much as I was hoping for so these might be better.

These new ones are 2-3x bigger than the ones you purchased Ed. Although personally I would of prefered the size to have gone in other dimensions rather than height.

You can still modify your bumper to flow air to the places needed like removing the fog lights etc.
