can anyone help me find some bigger front discs.

i'm currently looking at fitting some EVO8 calipers but i want bigger discs

i know i can fit skyline 324mm discs with brackets

but i'm looking for some disc around the 343mm dia

does anyone know what cars would have this as a standard size that would fit on a 300 front hub

i've mail EBC brakes and they were not very helpful. you need someone in the busness to look at what disc sizes come with a 56mm height hub fitting and a 5 stud 114 pattern

My other problem is ive got a set of Jaguar xjr R brembo calipers which are huge!! Which used to sit on 365mm discs im hoping puting the calipers on smaller discs say 345 will still be ok?

I know smithy has a huge set of brake discs on his zed

i think the stop teck or someone like that use 355mm discs for a 300/ liner

What size wheels do you have im going to have to buy new ones to fit!! But i dont want no bigger than 18".

I was trying to find out the biggest size discs you could get for a gtr/350z as most companies have alot more opsions for these.

i've got 19's and the spokes come out by alot. i think the standard upgrade for a liner/350 is 324mm

Std 350Z discs are 324mm. Skyline R33 GTR are the same diameter but the offset is different.

So would we need gts discs not gtr??

Erm, not a Skyline model expert, but I thought the GTR was a higher spec model than the GTS. Someone to confirm please ...

yes GTR has 324mm dia.

i've just looked through all the brake measurments on the EBC page and the best i've found is

Merc M-Class D1102

345mm

height 51 ( nissan 54 )

32mm thick

but no Hub Dia measurements

GTR is the better one but they have a different offset to the GTS aswell. i was wondering if the GTS is the same as the zed

GTS disks I think are the same as fitted to the 300TT.

The callipers are certainly the same.

Best bet is to ask a trader.

You could have a look on ebay and ask some of the traders on there.

Good luck with it.

mercs have a PCD of 5x112 and nissan have 5x114 might have to slot the bolt holes

it's only moving the hole towards the centre by 2mm

Sounds like a piller drill is needed lol

If that is all that is needed and its safe ill be interested in a set aswell ;)

Nice job mate

im sure vinz has bmw discs on his, but think he had to have those holes drilled to fit.

spoke to bee gee he had the hubs removed and some machined up to match to make a 2part disc

After reading this i can't help thinking you guys are going 6 steps forward then 6 steps back.

You got the decent Brembo calipers, good start. Don't really see the point in then searching ell cheapo standard fitment for Non Nissan EBC discs then make up brackets etc. There are numerous companies who manufacture BIG brake upgrades for the Zed and GTR family, they wil happily sell you just the discs both 1 piece and 2 piece. Okay not cheap, but they are standard fitemnt on your hub and they are a performace disc as well. You never know there is also the possibility that one of their bracket set ups will work with your combo, am sure if your buying their discs, they will happily oblige in supplying a draft type drawing or model of bracket.

For the sizes your looking at, try AP and KAD as i think they are the most helpful.

I just think if your gonna go big and use decent calipers, don't skimp boys ;)

cheers
