Yup! only to say as regards the pistons, they arn't forged but they ain't that weak either. problem is the vast majority of Zeds have some serious mileage on them now and certainly any that are running higher than stock boost may have suffered detonation and those running too high boost risk det more on No.6 cylinder on pre 95ish Zeds due to a lack of fuel which these models suffered when modified. (different fuel rails and lower plenum design on pre 95 models)

Thanks for the reply smithy. Can that no6 problem be solved?

Yes course, avoid chips and cheap filters of Ebay and when modding for higher boost and power levels have it done correctly and have it checked for general detting. No.6 cylinder does lack a bit of fuel but only when the boost is too high and or when the injectors are maxing out. The 300 degree fuel rail helps push more fuel in the right direction when modding the engine, but this is ideally only done when fitting bigger injectors too.

If your starting on the road of modifying, just been careful to ensure you don't run too high boost and you should be fine.

Thanks smithy really helpfull. Are you the smithy of smithy's? Sorry to sound so lame.
