AOL is Evil,

AOL is Evil,

repeat after me ....

AOL is Evil .....

Never been with AOL, but I have never heard good things about it.

If you havent got the hint yet,

GET AOL THE **** OUT OF YOUR COMPUTER!

Honestly, its a horrid little program, worms its way into so many parts of your computer, which is why it has such a profound effect when it goes belly up, which it always does.

My inlaws had AOL on there comp, caused a massive meltdown of windows and needed a full reinstall of XP to sort the problem!

my dad has AOL on his laptop and its horrible i just use explorer instead

i have been with aol for about 4 years now and this is the only prob i have evr had with them, and i think its something i have done, my boss has bt its shite, my sister has that talk talk and its shite, my mate has tiscali and its the worst thing ive ever been on

It's not about the broadband provider, it's about the amount of crap it dumps on your machine and how it f*cks up the interface. Makes it a complete b'stard to support for anyone who is used to a non-AOL system.

years after uninstalling aol ( and trust me the uninstall function does not get close ) there are still dead dll files from aol popping up in my registry even now, and startup will never entirely get rid of the aol entries, when you do get rid of the parasite i hope you enjoy the trawling through the registry to entirely clean your system...hehe

just dont ring their customer services!!!

when i was with AOL it was foreign call centres, they were totally inept, i needed permission apparantley to leave them??

I did leave them eventually but they never left me, their software or whatever it is just stays forever!

when we all sufferd the old 56k dial up freeserve was the same...left a footprint on your whole system that hung around

too freaking right

i will have to wipe the HD to get rid of aol companion start entry, it just has to stay disabled
