Just had a phone call from the other cars insurance company and although there is some despute about how it happened he is still at fault. So hopefully it will get repaired soon.:nana2::dance::nana2:

Is there anything I should find out about the body repair shop before taking it to the one they recomend, or would i be better off taking to my garage?

The third party insurers viewed the damage yesterday.

I'd check out the garage they wont you to take the car to. If you dont think its up to scratch, then find one you think is.

 

IIRC the only advantages about taking it to an approved repairer is options on courtesy car, a little less hassle with forwarding quotes, but its been a while since i was out of the insurance game, so im sure someone who has had a similar experience will be able to help you out more, but personally, id never take my car to a garage i didnt think was up to scratch regardless if it was approved or not.

Erm still waiting on my witness but i got another witness who ive spoken to who is guna be prompt instead of a lazy teenager who wont pick up his phone.

 

I think its looking good so far, just a bloody long process like always.

3 years ago I got exactly the same damage to my wing and bumper when a transit van ran over my car while I was parked.

my dent is a bit bigger.

but pretty close.
