Depends where you buy from bud, but most places will be able to suggest the correct battery for your car.

Pretty standard stuff batteries though, makes sure the poles are the right way round it will be ok, one thing to check is dimensions though, only for fitting purposes. :)

I got mine from Allparts last week - £81.46....

....size/part code is "068" for your ref.

I bought a cheaper one from Cafco 2 years ago for £40 but it didn't last; hence it was recently replaced......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Just bought the recommended one from Halfrauds, £96 for the 5 year warranty.

The size was OK but the poles were the wrong way round.

Had to disconnect the negative lead from the bulk head just above the battery to make it reach.

Solve one problem make another.

Why not turn the battery back to front??

The battery in my ZX when I bought it was the wrong way round - all the previous owner did was turn it round so that the terminals were closer to the front of the car. The positive was therefore still on the off-side; the cables are long enough to reach!!

Yep thats what I did. But to get the neg to reach I had to undo the connection to the bulk head behind the battery.

069 for uk spec

068 for jap, but the new number for an 069 is an 088

Think they gave you the wrong one then mate. I had the Bosch one I bought from there replaced a month or so ago and it's fine. There was a problem with it not being listed on their new parts system, but they fixed it when they ordered mine.

Was a Bosch one, silver and blue.

Come to think of it, when I replaced the first battery (the one that was the wrong way round;)) I vaguely remember re-connecting the earth lead to a point on the bulk-head just behind the battery.

That explains why it was disconnected and why there was a threaded hole there.......:o
