It looks like the gearbox may be coming off soon so I might as well do the subframe bushes at the same time.

The back end has been feeling really vague for a while and when powering out of corners it seems to squirm from side to side.

The HICAS has been removed and it's on Koni shocks and Blitz springs that are about 4 years old with hardly any use.

Is there anything else that could be causing it to feel like the rear wheels are coming off? LOL

Might be best getting uprated ones as the car is running a lot of power.

Where's best to get a set of subframe & diff bushes and how much?

Anyone got the Z1 solid ones?

ย

I'll take the subframe out and get the local garage to install the new ones I think.

You can get subframe locking collars to completely remove any subframe play.

ย

Yeah I've already got those but not sure they quite do the job!

I had a leak from the bushes a couple of years ago and used them to cover it up to get through the MOT :smash: LOL

If the bushes are knackered I'm presuming the collars can't stop any side to side play, only crush them down more?

US- eBay or Z1- I got a Polybush car set for approx $120. Contained just about every single bush required

That seems really cheap!

I was expecting a lot more than that just for the subframe ones.

I presume a full car kit would include all the rear suspension arm bushes?

The car seems to squirm right and left powering out of long sweeping bends a bit like the feeling of torque steer in a front wheel drive car.

I was sure it was a HICAS issue until I disabled it but as I know the subframe bushes are shot I'm thinking of doing them next.

Maybe Si is right though and the locking collars I have will already have locked that out?

Any ideas?

The rear suspension arms and subframe bushes are about the only original part left on this car LOL

The complete rear link arm set is seperate. It replaces all the old worn bushes in the Hub and subframe that the suspensions arms fit onto and is often overlooked.
