Several miles on a straight road and my HICAS light would come on. Some ware, so had rear hicas arms and bushes replaced. Sadly not solved the problem. My MOMO stearing wheel is about 2 minutes off centre and needs turned back anti clock by as much. But once inside boss discovered red wires and green and red which work the horn. But olso from earth yellow connecter for something and white 4 pin plug. Is this the HICAS connection or was it something to do with an air bag on original wheel? So to move the wheel what you think? Big centre nut and move it on the splines. If it will budge. Or move it round on the alan key fixings. Or is it not worth the bother because these wires connot be plugged in. Help or views welcome. Quick edit. Bought the car last August and the HICAS light has always come on.

check your fluid bud, you might have a small leak or air lock some where. the fluid level can be misleading, even though it might show full it can take more without the level rising.

failing that, lock off your HICAS. job done;)

my MoMo steering wheel is about 2 mins of centre too and my Hicas works fine ..if that´s any help .

plus what Paul said..white must be Hicas as i recognize it..i didn´t have a airbag on mine and i don´t recognize the red plug.

Hi, had this problem on my Z... ended up getting a Hicas 'enabled' boss from Mike Feeney @ MJP. If you have an enabled boss then it'll need aligning.. again Mike can probably point you in the right direction... Boss was about £55 + fitting... hth

Yes it's because someone fitted a standard steering wheel boss to mount the Momo instead of getting the correct HICAS boss for the Z.

As the ECU can't tell where your wheel is pointing it thinks your HICAS is faulty and disables it.
