Thought I would start here as today saw the 'offical' start of the Cossy conversion!

Done today,removed prop,tank,engine and cleaned the bay up a bit for painting.

Soon ready for a trial fit of this,all decatted an' everything!

I was hoping the Scorpio sender was going to fit my tank but no!-the sender resistance was wrong and the flange to big,so I came up with this 'hybrid'-my sender with the Scorp' pump fitted,sorted!

Watch this space.....................................(again! LOL!)

I helped a mate of mine do a 340 bhp sierra cosworth transplant in a transit which we started 2yrs ago to enter the scumball rally but it was never fitted in time.

Seems I have acheived exactly what I wanted,A Transit that cruises like a Scorpio!:dance:

70 comes at 2500rpm!!-just under 4000 and I'm hitting the ton-haven't had it flat out yet as the test track is closed!;)

I am immensly envious lol 7 granada/scorpios i've owned in my life and never a cossie and now you go and fit one to a transit van you git lol

looking like a well sorted project bud. I have my eye on a Mk3 Cortina 2000e and if i get it I may put the v6 cosworth in. Thats after I get the mk1 escort cossie conversion finished, too many projects and not enough time LOL.

Don't know yet,going to work doesn't leave much room for speed!:smw:

Managed to squeeze in the electric fan!-but the original grille won't fit over it so I had to make the surround 1/2 inch shallower (the white bit) and fit 'go faster' mesh!-at least it keeps the stones out...........;)

 

Not long now......................:dance:

Been trying to cool things down today,got the manifold wrapped,also the fuel lines.

then made a cover for the ECU hopefully keep heat and water off it!

And another for the relays down on the n/s.......

And fitted....

Only thing left really is a stainless zorst!-which I'm looking into:D

Daz, if you're thinking of making the exhaust I've got a nice silencer box in stainless off the Granada which didn't fit the Zed if it's any use? 2.5" inlet/outlet

Got the van back today,with it's stainless d/pipes done!

These are coupled to oe boxes,a,to keep cost down and b,so I can relace em' when they rot!-unlikely in Spain tho'! LOL!

He even made a 'bling' stainless finisher for the tailpipe,nice man!:D

Oh1-and it sounds just right!:)
