I have just changed the battery on my key fob as I had to be right next to the car to get it to activate. The alarm is a Coobra 7777. Now it wont work at all. Thought there must be something wrong with the fob so (like a fool)changed it for the other one (which was working) and now this one won't work either. Battery is definately in the right way. Is there some sort of initiation process that needs to be carried out every time you change a battery? At the moment I'm stuck as every time I use the key to open the car the bloody alarm goes off.

from what i can remember when the batteries have been changed, you have to hold both grey buttons down at the same time till the light goes out, then press the larger button twice. it is possible you may have to remove the batteries, press the buttons for a few secs to discharge, replace & repeat above.

please note that the above depends on which shape fob it is, so may be done via a dipswitch in the alarm control unit, but worth a shot.

i'll have to remember that cos mine need changing aswell, is yours the tear drop shape key fob with 2 buttons 1 larger than the other?
