I came across this Zed on ebay a few days ago and decided to 'watch' it to see what price it reached.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250230141299&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015

To my surprise no-one has yet placed a bid and I would have thought a starting price of £1,995 with no reserve was a very reasonable price.

Am I missing something?

Dave

pretty nice looking but the wheels spoil it...

you cant have a spoiler and body kit with standard wheels .. it just looks ridiculous imo

oh and the guy cant even spell gearbox :slap:

maybe the looks of it put ppl off lol

Probably correct. It's an N/A too which don't demand the same values as TTs.

Also, judging by the overspray on this arch liner, I can't imagine the paintwork is any better than the poor effort at prepping.

I have to agree Athene, that's why I'm fitting new wheels to mine, but do you think we might be a bit biased? I didn't think the standard wheels looked out of place when I first 'discovered' the Z32 a couple of years ago. But now so many are fitted with aftermarket wheels that look so much better, the stock wheels appear, dare I say, somewhat plain.

Anyway, a few hundred quid would soon put that right.

Standard Z rims do look plain and underwhelming. UK rims however don't. Nice subtle dish to the rear instantly gives the car better road appeal. Stock N/A rims do look a little feeble.

To begin with, Si, I thought you were talking rubbish (I should have known better). I bought a set of UK wheels off this site last year and only knew the rear wheels were wider. I've just been out to check and you are right (of course) the rear wheels DO have a concave dishing compared to the front.

(BTW my sig picture was taken before the UK wheels were fitted.)

Talk about 'subtle'..........your not kidding. They say you learn at least one new thing each day, well I've just learned mine today.

Thanks Si:bow:

plus uk rears have ribs on the inside of the wheel:)

That's what I meant.... the guy doesn't know his left hand from his right hand....

This one was sold on Ebay a couple of weeks ago for £1500 by the same guy, it then went for £1660 (approx) and now its back on with a starting price of £1995. Either it sold and the buyer jacked out on seeing it in the raw, or the buyer got a mate to bid on it to run the price up. Either way he is having trouble selling and it's a 1996 as well, still cheap even for an NA.

This car has been on ebay more times than the ferrari zed  I'm guessing something is'nt kosha
