I wonder if this has happenned to anyone else:

I went to a local shop pressed the key fob on my toad Ai606 to lock and alarm, I then came out of the shop, pressed the button to unlock and nothing...

The light on the fob came on everytime i pressed the button but nada.. stood in the freezing cold wondering WTF, walked around the car, pressing and pressing.

10mins later i pressed the button again and it opened, what a relief.

When i got home and parked it on the drive, i tried it again and it locked and unlocked everytime i pressed the button, it is as though someone had some sort of blocker or some sort of toy to piss people off with car alarms...

As i say it was very strange and i didnt want to leave it outside the shop all night, especially on a friday with all the dipsticks about.

Any ideas??

Cheers

Graham

I sometimes have problems with my alarm fob not working when in Crystal Palace, it is due to interference from the local radio mast, perhaps you were near something like that?

Hi, I have been to this particular shop on numerous occasions without a problem, if it was a frist time i would probably agree, i think it was interference from something, rather than a fault with the alarm.

Hi ThereTulip,

im doing well, still spending money on the baby, hope your doing well.

How is Mick, did he sell or keep it, he hasnt been on the forum for a while, hope he is ok too.

Im might change the battery in the fob, just a bit worried it might wipe the code if i take the battery out, got to look into that.

Take care

Graham

i had a drink with mick and his wife last week they were in dublin for jean michel jarre (sp) concert, he still has the car, mostly time wasters and tyre kickers to look at it, ive a bit to do to mine before i go over in may to z008, nothing major, are you going up to it?

i have the same alarm, same thing happens to me now and again, wierd.

our kid drove his merc 320 to sainsburys, parks and goes shopping then goes to his car and "press" and nothing....called AA and the guy told him he must of had his keys near the bar code reader on the till and its scrambled the code, told him to wait for 30 mins and try again which after a cup of coffee he did and went back to his car and press..click..and it started perfect:confused:

Hi Tulip, i am working that weekend but im off on the sun 11th depending what time everyone is there till, i would like to make it along for the day. I can get there at silly o'clock in the morning so time is not a problem, its only if everyone is leaving about lunchtime then i might not.

Mines got an **** type alarm, sometimes does this, but the hijsck/flash lights/panic?

mode still goes+ stops.

Bloody annoying, but think its a relay inside the alarm.
