I use a chap in the US. Have done for a few things I've got from the US. http://www.wheelchoice.com

I had mine through last month. It's not quite a simple operation. You will need to get custom brackets made up. I trial fitted mine a few days ago and this was original mounts bodged to fit. As you can see, it doesn't sit at the correct angle here. But it's nearly there. You need to watch out for the wiring that's behind. You'll need to either modify it or shift it out of the way otherwise the headunit won't sit the way you want it to.

I'm running all new cabling anyway which is nice and flexible, so I can move part of the old redundant loom out of the way. I am either going to make custom mounts or get a good car audio place to make me some brackets so that the headunit sits at exactly the right angle.

As you can see here on my trial fit, the headunit sits too far in at the bottom. The angle needs adjusting. But it looks ok for a trial fit.

The fascia is actually a professionally modified standard panel. It's a brand new panel, but has been modified. But it's done extremely well, the finish is spot on and you can barely tell, only by looking on the back would you notice. It's still a very good factory looking part.

Thanks for the advice SI and for posting the pics it does look awesome ...but then again your car always does , ..the head unit i have bought has a motorised tilt feature on the screen so i should have no problems other then the mounting bracket issue , asim an inst engineer i will make the brackets i need and knock a couple of extra up for anybody that needs them , in fact if you give me dimensions or a drawing i will get some made here and send them to you when im back in the uk in 3 weeks

Mine has tilting function too. It's an all singing, all dancing Alpine system. The reason I want it to sit perfectly is so that the base sits on the fascia correctly so you're left with no gaps. All good and well having a tiltable one, but if you can see that it doesn't fit on fascia correctly it would look as tidy as it could do. :)

Thanks for the comments.

Dan, the price worked out over £150. You might be able to get one modified for that price. But I dunno if it would look quite as factory is this one does.

cheers si/steve, may have to invest, i just bought 2 seperate single din facias to have a go at modding myself although looks pretty difficult, at least a know i can get hold of one for a price if the home made version looks rubbish.
