Making biodiesel

Hiya,

 

Just wondering if anyone has any experience in making biodiesel? I'm looking into it and reading up on forums but it's just going over my head at the moment :(

    have you seen the price of cooking oil!!! lol Seriously, most supermarkets are nearly a quid a litre now. Making bio diesel apparently comes out under 10p a litre.

    Where you shopping? Harrods? LOL

     

    Tesco around 60p a litre when I got some the other day

    Went to 2 Tescos today, all sold out, everyone got there before me!! lol

    Got a Lidl not too far away so I'll try them. Would still like to make biodiesel though ;)

    2 options - Buy in bulk 3 litre tubs from supermarket...or as this has now gone up 10/15 litre packs from Macro or find a local fish and chip oil supplier. Mix no more than 50/50 with normal diesel and you should be OK on most German cars and fuel pumps. Best way is to re-claim used oil from your local take-away and filter it, but then this does get messy.
