Idea - Price/Quality Check Section ?

How 'bout we setup a section where we list parts and services and what they cost and contact nos.of companies/suppliers alongside your name. This would mean that anyone could directly compare prices for the best deals. Members could also leave a short comment like - excellent service etc.

We could also use the section to rate different mods/services/parts. I think this would be far quicker than usual process of starting a thread and hoping for replies and advice. Different opinions would not cause arguments necessarily, because you leave your name. People make their own mind up.

For negative service/product, just leave comment blank to avoid legal action.

ah, ghost town

far easier for people to ignore what there is and post where they want, regardless

in the past we also had "good things to say about.." and "bad things to say about..." forums, but they went the same way eventually

no matter how often you try and split them up and make things easier, people pay no attention and post where they like anyway

You need a rule. No replies with opinions, etc. Only replies allowed are an alternative supplier/price.

Did I say "rule"?!!! Sorry, what was I thinking?

Maybe it needs to be like a spreadsheet.

Anything's gotta be better than current setup.

Or even just start a thread on each item - exhausts/tyres/wheels/ turbo's etc., then people know where to post.

Well if someone provides the content I'd be happy to add it to my site, I just don't have tons of time for beating HTML with a stick. (To be honest it often beats me!)

You can put it into an Excel form then use the save as HTML.

have a look at the main forums page, and read the description for the forum that i posted the link for.

this is exactly what that forum was for...

Have another look in the Price Checks section
