the tone of my exhaust sounds like the wiring of a wheel bearing instead of a constant drone, it doesnt sound the same as a wheel bearing, but it whirs in the same way as a wheel bearing would

if ya know what i mean, does anyone one have any clues lol

See the thing is, if your exhaust note is similar to another kinda noise note ya getting at 50mph you get something called dissonance where two notes are just off eachother.

Slip it in to neutral at 50....does it still make the same noise? If it was exhaust related, speed wouldn't really make an issue. Engine revs would.

i bet if ya concentrate while driving you could probably get the too notes to match and it would sound straight if ya get my drift, its hard to explain.

like strumming the same string on two guitars at the same time with one slightly tuned diferently and if ya tune it out even more then the two notes separate more and more.

i know what ya saying, but if i dip the clutch the noise goes, or if i drop the gears down it goes, its just at a certain rev at a certian speed, its deffo the engine note that makes the noise, im just using the wheel bearing as an example of the way the exhaust note sounds

but say the centre prop bearing noise combined with the correct exhaust note you would get dessonance.

Could be the diff then. Put your foot on the clutch and there's no torque going through it. Take your foot off and you have straight going back through it again. Just a thought.

I know Hondas are completely different! But i had this in my civic, it was the gearbox bearings on the way out.

I would put my foot down on the clutch and it would stop, take my foot off and it would come back.

No noise at about 2 -3 K revs but after that and slowing down you could hear it.
