the engine tries to stall when i pull away, it does my head in (one of the reasonsi want rid of my car), its done it on and off since ive had it, sometimes i wiggle wires and it works fine then it goes back to running crap

ive sorted all the other problems, it revs great and pulls well

its also started to miss on tick over when cold :headvswal

its doing my head in, i have to ride the clutch everytime i pull away

im sure its soething to do with the idle valve, but cant pin point exacttly what it is

bit hard to diagnose without being there but possible causes air leak buggered iacv dirty throttle bodies leaking d/v?

less of the abbreviatins please lol, im not that clever

cant seem to find any leaks (or at least hear any)

idle air control valve like you thought errrm d/v dump valve first port of call take the pipe off the throttle bodies and clean them out with carb cleaner give them a good clean out and see how it is if you suspect an air leak trace the pipe right back to where it starts and pinch it in various places to see if that makes it better or pull the pipe off you suspect and see if it makes a diference also an aftermarket boost gauge will show up leaks the more vac you pull the better like i say its harder when im not there hth

Mine was idle control valve sticking solid- just replaced with good S/C hand one.

I had the same problem with mine - it turned out to be the TPS needing realigning

Yep same here, check the voltage, if it can't be adjusted to get to that level it's knackered. Try to get a new one if possible i've had 3 second hand ones and they don't last long

Same here.....

......I bought a new throttle position sensor and got my local Nissan garage to set it up to the factory settings (3 years ago) and it has been fine since.

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

hmmm, maybe look into this a bit further

I had exactly the same fault and yes it did my head in! It turned out to be the airflow meter. Power at higher revs was down too though.
