Just had a set of four Toyo Proxes fitted (265 35 18 back and 235 40 18 front). Got them for £528 including delivery and VAT, plus £30 for a local garage to fit them.

I can honestly say these are the best tyres I have ever bought for my Z. I've had Pirelli P-zeros which were bloody awful. I've had Bridgestone SO2s (I think!) which were OK. I finally settled on using Yokohama AVS sports which I found great and used for about four sets.

But after reading someone's opinions on the Toyos on here, and bearing in mind they were cheaper, I decided to give them a go. Glad I did. Brilliant tyre. Loads and loads of grip. Very progressive in the dry and the wet. Little bit noisy on the limit but, then again, so were all the others. Especially the Pirellis. Don't know what the wear rate is like though but I'm guessing they're not going to last very long!

Has anyone on here tried the Toyos and opted to use another tyre instead afterwards? I'd be interested to know 'coz I'd severely doubt it!

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike,

I have tried a lot of tyres, and like you was settled on Yokos, but then tried the TOYOS as the Yokos had got dearer.

The Toyo T1 is the best tyre I have used. I wouldnt use anything else until there another change in tyre design.

Haven't tried Toyos but I took delivery of my second set of Good Year Eagle F1s this morning, this set being the new GSD3 pattern which came out top on the recent EVO group test, I think the Toyos came out third. Buy, hey it's all subjective anyway, you pays your money you takes your pick, I might try the Proxys next.

Yeah I have proxes T1s on the front - only problem is they are softer than butter - the evidence is at the end of the kemble vid hehehe
