How easy is it to set up the HICAS, my steering wheel is no longer centerd and when i go on the motorway my HICAS light comes on.

Take it to Pro Tyre at the back of Lawrence Hill Marcus, they are excellent and you actually watch them do it. They have a fab bit of kit and the car feels totally different afterwards.

what do they do? is it something to do with the tracking?

My HICAS light also comes on when i am on the motorway. After about 10-15 mins of motorway driving normally. All other times it stays off.

steering angle sensor needs to be centred before you have alignment done - you can't centre the steering wheel by adjusting the tracking (well it can, but the fault would still be there). The hicas light comes on once the car detects prolonged periods of turning - i.e. you are driving normally, but the sensor is constantly detecting a steering input.

Where is the steering angle sensor located?

On the steering hub......does it have standard wheel, I cant remember ?

Yep Std Wheel

there is a way, i think you start the car turn the steering wheel from left to right five times and then press the brake peddle five times. this has to be done very quick. then the hicas light comes on when the sensor is in the middle. there is a write up somewhere

i have never managed to get that way to work LOL do you have to pump brake pedal 5 times whilst turning the steering wheel?
