Hi all can anyone tell me what series Uk clocks these are?

Also as the plugs at the rear are different does this mean that i will have to swap all the dials as stated in bigman's earlier post. I still have the shell to my old uk Z and all the wiring so is it possible to swap the wiring loom over or is that just asking for trouble :headvswal

I also found a de-limiter already fitted, can i just leave that in place or do i have to take it out when fitting the uk clocks as it will nock the calibration out or should i just forget about the UK clocks and put everything back :mac1:

Oh and thanks in advance lol.

I think i'm right in saying the UK clocks on the left are Series 2.

The clocks on the right are Series 1.

Just out of interest, if the clocks on the right are Jap, are they 300kmh?

Oh, and to add, I converted my black zed's 300kmh clocks (which were S2) with clocks from a S1 UK car.

They looked identical to the rear of your clocks. Unscrew all the gauges and swap them all over. Including odometer too. Also you will not need the dodgy convertor, throw it away lol.

Some info that may be of help.........

Assuming you have a Jspec with a standard KPH cluster, then what you 'Could' do is simply remove the MPH clock from the UK cluster and fit it into the Jspec cluster, and it'll work.......

There are two screws.... (as marked below)

attachment.php?attachmentid=40330&stc=1

You'll notice that your Jspec assembly has the screw in the right side screw hole and the one I've posted above is in the left side hole. That's because I've got a UK MPH clock fitted to my original Jspec cluster. The cluster backing sheet has '10k' and '100k' printed on it (10k for the MPH clock and 100k for the KPH clock)

So in doing this you still retain the original odometer reading (all be it still reading, and counting in, Kilometres) for you Zed. The speedo will read perfectly in MPH, which, I assume, is what you want!

Anyway, I hope that helps, in some way!

So if i take all the dials drom my uk set and fit them to the jap set they will all work as they should? How does this delimit them as i thought that was in the circuitry?

You'll need your ECU chipping, that's the best way to have it sorted properly!

Thanks Dave, and to all for your help/advice, i changed them all over now and took some step by step pics i'll post later.

The only prob i encountered was the face for the RPM is different and didn't locate in the locating dowels but this was easily fixed by using the origional and just changing the oil pressure dial.

Here's a pic showing the difference in the rev's face and my finished clocks that i won't be able to try out properly until i put the engine in :mac1:

Erm I'll take a rain check on that :mac1:
